Life demands to be lived

A film by Damien Fritsch

Suffering from both mental and physical handicaps; Catherine, Charles, Dorian et Océan have neither a voice to express themselves nor control over their surroundings. In this film we see how these children relate to the outside world through their everyday routines with their families and in care institutions.

Why this film ?

«This film was created at the request of parents of children with multiple disabilitieshurt by the way we looked at their children. Damien Fritsch has filmed a world next to ours, with beings different from us to reveal them by what makes them special. And what makes them special is perhaps precisely something that is, paradoxically, similar to us, it is life that continues despite everything, despite the apparent difference, despite the apparent suffering. It is this humanity that this film is about.
