Guatemala City: a report on the sit-in of a bottling subsidiary plant of Coca-Cola. This industrial action started on February 1984 and lasted over 9 months. In order to break the union, the company filed for bankruptcy. However, the determination of the Guatemalan workers, plus an efficient coordination of worldwide anti-Coca-Cola actions forced the Guatemalan company to recognize the union and reopen the plant. |
