Trois rescapés d'Auschwitz racontent de quelle façon et dans quelles circonstances ils ont révélé leur histoire depuis leur retour. Leurs descendants expriment ce qu'ils ont ressenti en la découvrant, en quoi elle a marqué leur identité et ce dont ils se sentent investis. Ainsi se constitue un récit complexe, quelquefois contradictoire, qui met en lumière les effets de la parole et des non-dits sur trois générations, et plus généralement soulève la question de la transmission de l'histoire. |
Three survivors from Auschwitz relate how and under which circumstances they made their story known since their return. Their descendants express what they felt on discovering their account together with the way in which it left its mark on their identity and what they have the impression of being invested with. Thus a complex and sometimes contradictory narrative builds up ; it brings to light the impact of what is said and of what is not said upon three generations. In the end it raises the question of History handed down. |
